Dave obtained an Associates of Applied Science in Horticulture from Meramec Community College. “The Horticulture program at Meramec was a profound influence, as well. In addition to the talented folks teaching the classes, the list of guest speakers that came in, especially local area tree nerds, had a big impact on the direction of my career.”

Dave Gunn, ISA Certified Arborist -- Owner, St. Louis Asethetic Pruning
Dave Gunn has worked in the horticulture industry since 2008, and worked for the Missouri Botanical Garden from 2012-2021. Dave is an ISA Certified Arborist and graduated with a degree in Horticulture from Meramec Community College. He currently owns and operates St. Louis Aesthetic Pruning, specializing in the structural and aesthetic pruning of trees and shrubs.

After working for Gardens to Go in Jefferson City, and Metropolitan Forestry Services in Ballwin. The Missouri Botanical Garden hired Dave in 2012. “My experience there had a profound impact on my career. That is where I first fell in love with arboriculture and pruning. I owe a lot to many folks there (and elsewhere), but as far as tree stuff goes, Teresa Pafford and Ben Chu were huge influences and helped lay the foundation of my knowledge of tree care.”
